A private lunch with Omaha billionaire Warren Buffett has been sold to the highest bidder for more than $3.4million during an annual charity auction.
The bid of $3,456,789 made Friday night tied for the record highest bid. In 2012, the winner also paid $3,456,789, won by Beijing-based Dalian Zeus Entertainment Co. This year's winner wishes to remain anonymous.

The week-long eBay auction began Sunday and wrapped up Friday night. This year and last year's lunches hold the record for the highest amounts paid for single events on eBay. Six of the past eight winners for the Buffett buffet paid more than $2 million.
The auction benefits the Glide Foundation, a San Francisco-based homeless charity. Buffett's first wife, Susie, volunteered with the organization.
Susie Buffett died in 2004, but the connection between Warren Buffett and Glide's founders has endured.

'Glide is a bridge for thousands of people on the brink of despair, helping them achieve dignity and opportunity by providing them with basic services.'
